Hello Yukoner’s~Thank you for your interest in my course. And yes, I am scheduling another course in Whitehorse, for November.
The course will be held over 3 consecutive weekends in November. I cover the 6 modules on the ITA exam, in 6 days.
Instruction will be on Friday evening 6:00-9:00 PM, and Saturday 8:30~5:00 PM, and then 8:30 to about 2:00 PM on Sunday. The Friday night allows for a little bit of R&R on the Sunday.
I am also available for unlimited one-on-one during the week and evenings. All resource materials will be provided. The course will be held at The United Brotherhood of Carpenters Hall, 106 Strickland St., in Whitehorse.
I have been in touch with Vernon Beebe, from Yukon Advanced Education, and we are finalizing the group exam dates now to coincide with the completion of the course. In order to take full advantage of so much hard work, I will schedule the exam to be written on the Monday or Tuesday, following the last day of instruction. Ideally, I want as little time as possible to elapse between taking the course and writing the exam.
I have found that when the exam is scheduled immediately following the course, the guys treat the exam as an extension of the course, and they are primed and pumped to get ‘er dun~! My success rate with this model is currently over 90%.
Based on my last experience in Yukon, I have had to raise the rate for instruction. The rate now is $1,200.00 per person, (GST/HST exempt) with a max of 15 students per course. This will bring my course in line with the price of the BCIT Carpentry Refresher Course, which currently clocks in at $1,218.00.
However, the BCIT course only covers a “carpentry refresher” and will not teach you how to pass the exam~!! (Which explains why their success rate is less than 40%.)
If you have any questions after you have a look at the site you can call me anytime; 250-331-1117, I ask students to send me an email from the “Contact Us” window on the site for registration purposes for my student files. You can reserve your spot by sending me an interac etransfer in the amount of $1,200.00 to:
integratedcarpentrytutorials@gmail.com
Once you have registered and paid I will send you the ITA Practice Exam, your Concrete Material, WorkSafe, the National Building Code, and a series of Code Q’s with instructions so you can get started on your course and get a bunch of the reading etc., out of the way prior to the start of the course.
Thanks again for your interest in the course, and please don’t hesitate to call me if you have any questions at all. 250-331-1117
