Without Richard’s support I would not have been successful win achieving my Red Seal in Carpentry. Richard’s knowledge of the subject is incredible, therefore no superfluous content was taught, only what was needed. Which was a LOT. In addition Richard’s style of teaching was incredibly pragmatic, for example I was struggling in ways that were different from the other students, therefore he adapted his teaching style to accommodate this.
Richard genuinely wants every single one of his students to pass, to the point where he would revise troublesome subject matter with each and every one of us, using his own time if that is what he thought was needed.
I have a lot to thank Richard for, for without his time and commitment, I may not have the prospects I have today.
Hey Richard, I would just like to say I am thoroughly impressed with the structure of Integrated Carpentry Tutorials. It was a comfortable, fun and efficient way to attain the knowledge to properly prepare for the IP Red Seal Exam.
I will say the nerves and anxiety were high after failing on my first attempt but the way you stuck with me and provided the opportunity to continue to sit in on classes via ZOOM really built my confidence back up. It is evident that you love what you do and are dedicated to the success of your students.
I am now a Certified Red Seal and a more competent carpenter. I wouldn’t be here without you and can’t thank you enough. I’ll be sure to send friends, family, coworkers, and anybody interested in getting there certification your way.
The Integrated Carpentry Tutorials program was a huge help preparing to challenge the Inter-provincial Red Seal exam.
I was supplied with great study and reference material and solid direction to get a study routine started.
The online sessions were easy to access and I came away from each one feeling more confident and having better direction.
No problem following Richard’s instruction. It was great to be able to participate in a classroom environment from my own home. A great experience all around!
Thanks very much, Richard.
I am very grateful for Richard Dickenson and his Integrated Carpentry Tutorials which helped me successfully pass the Red Seal Carpentry Exam. He was able to channel my anxiety and eagerness to pass into a logical strategy which I could follow.
Because of his experience with teaching this course over the years he knew where to direct my focus and to continually steer me in the right direction. He had the horsepower to overcome some of my preconceived ideas and ensure I had the right frame of mind for the exam.
This exam is not something you can do on your own without preparation, even if you consider yourself a genius. I know without his help I would have not passed the exam and I owe this qualification in large part to Richard Dickenson.
After failing my first attempt at the Red Seal Carpentry Exam by just a few points, I was back at studying but unsure where to start. The Carpentry Program Coordinator suggested I give Richard Dickenson a call and see if he could help me with my rewrite preparation.
Richard was very accommodating to my schedule, as I was back to work and had only one more week till my rewrite. After our first Skype session, it was very apparent that this was the right decision. Not only was Richards knowledge in the trade itself very valuable, but the speed and efficiency we covered the material in was amazing. After just two Skype sessions we had covered all the areas I had struggled in and gained a better understanding on how to read and write the test more effectively.
I can confidently say Richard’s course provided me with new skills to pass my rewrite. I would highly recommend his course to anyone preparing for the Red Seal Exam.
Here I go - Richard’s course is incredible, his unique and out of the box teaching style is incredibly refreshing. He truly makes you engage with the content! He’s you’re favourite teacher back in high school. No nonsense and straight to the point. He genuinely wants to see you succeed and he will make sure you do!
I was lost before I took this course and Richard truly explained every detail! He’s wonderfully refreshing and frank! If you’re going to take a carpentry course look no further!
Thank you, Richard, couldn’t have done it without you.

I can honestly say without Richard there is no way I would have passed the Red Seal exam. Coming from Scotland I struggled to grasp the contents and terminology of the exam. Then I saw this Red Seal Refresher course online and signed up. This was the best decision I‘ve ever made.
Richard is an excellent Tutor, his course is interesting, fun and most of all gets you prepared to sit the exam. I can say at the start I was not sure how good the online ZOOM course was going to be but it was brilliant, I felt like I was in Canada.
The best way to describe Richard is he is one of us; a carpenter and a hell of a smart guy, and for me a friend for life.

Heard about this course from my friend Tim who took it. Figured why not . I honestly believe I wouldn’t have passed without Richard’s course. He’s upfront, no BS and was there whenever I had a question.
I took the course twice, once in person and once over ZOOM. If teachers were as helpful and taught like Richard does when I was a kid, I would have been ticketed a lot sooner.
Thanks again Richard.
I was fortunate enough to enrol in the refresher course to challenge my RedSeal with Richard Dickenson. The ZOOM classes are great, and I passed first attempt. If you’re serious about your career and want to get it right the first time, go to this course!
